Marcelo Rodríguez Belmar is partner at García Rodríguez Abogados (“GR ABOGADOS”). He has focused his practice in strategic labour services, including all áreas related to labour law such as collective bargaining, labour relations, litigation, dispute resolution, negotiation strategies and team management. In addition, during his practice, he has specialized in administrative law, corporate law, easements, litigation, general agreements and compliance.
Mr. Rodríguez has been awarded for his contribution to the energy industry by the international ranking The Legal 500.
Previously, Marcelo worked as General Counsel and Secretary of the Board of Directors at Empresa Nacional del Petróleo (“ENAP”). In ENAP, he also worked as Head of Legal of the Bío-Bío refinery and as a Legal Director on Administrative, Contracts and Labour Affairs, directly assisting all the comercial units of ENAP and elaborating and executing the strategies of the company in connection with collective bargaining and commercial negotiations. He also worked at Caprile y Cía., in Concepción, Chile and in the Judiciary for many years. He graduated with distinction from Universidad de Concepción and obtained a Master on Company Law from Universidad del Desarrollo and a Master on Management of Individuals and Organizations at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. He also has a diploma in Negotiation granted by the School of Engineering of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Mr. Rodriguez has been a Civil Procedure Professor at Universidad del Desarrollo.
